Job description
This role is a partner-facing, solution offering, business management and sales role for managing partners within ASEAN for Rational. The duties of this role are to establish, develop, maintain, enable and manage the relationships of Business Partner and their Clients. The role requires a sound understanding of the local marketplace within ASEAN SEA, working with local Distributors and BP’s, in addition to working with the local Brand leaders and Client Reps. You will be required to formulate marketing and development plans and execute them accordingly. Sales focus will be in the GB/MM sector with BP engagements. You will be required to provide sales and technical assistance to the BP’s as and when required. There will be considerable interaction with the local Channels team to strategise and to develop a go to market plan in a very agressive timeframe. You will be required to engage in sales calls in the initial period supporting the BP’s till they are well versed in articulating the Rational value proposition. You must be well versed with the IBM internal processes, understand how to work with the local and extended team, and be a team player.
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 5 years experience in Application Life Cycle Management, Rational Solutions, Field Sales, BP Channels sales experience
- English: Fluent

Preference will be to candidates that have a solid understanding of the Rational Brand solution offerings across the entire ALM space. Being able to understand RUP and articulate the value proposition in addressing best practices is a must. Knowledge in addressing sub disciplines such as Modelling, Requirement Management, SCM, Testing and Deployment , and in the recent acquisitions such as Buildforge, WatchFire and Telelogic will be an added advantage.
