G-Resources is an Asia-Pacific gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong, and is operating the Martabe Gold Mine in North Sumatera. Having poured our first gold bars, the mine and processing plant is now focused on achieving the ramp up phase to go into full production. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, is targeting to initially process 4.5mtpa to produce 250,000 ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver annually. The Martabe Gold Mine is striving to maintain an excellent track record in responsible mining practices, and clear commitment to compliance to mining regulations as well as developing and managing mining activities with the involvement of local communities.

To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

Mechanical Trades – Fitter/Trainer (PRO 0123)

This position will be based at Martabe site and reports directly to Mechanical Supervisor.

This position would be responsible to provide hands-on support for the Mechanical Supervisors, so as to ensure that the maintenance, modifications, servicing and installation activities carried out by the Mechanical maintenance team are performed in a professional, safe, diligent, timely, cost efficient and cost effective manner, whilst taking into consideration the priority requirements of the Process Plants and associated infrastructures Mechanical plant, equipment & apparatus being attended to.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Graduated from Polytechnic / Technical training institute or approved Apprenticeship with Mechanical (Fitter) qualifications.
  • Must have the ability to perform basic welding/ fabrication tasks.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant mineral processing plant experience with Crushing, Grinding equipment demonstrating good knowledge of mechanical installation/ alignment procedures.
  • Must have a reasonable understanding of the English language and be able to communicate both written and spoken.
  • Must be able to complete PMs accurately and ensure they are returned to the Planning Department
  • Must be able to report defects to their Supervisor in a timely manner to ensure appropriate action is taken.
  • Possess a valid recognized Drivers license
  • Broad based comprehensive experience with Mechanical maintenance, problem-solving and inspection processes. Experience with commissioning Gold Plant Processing equipment preferred not essential)
  • Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry and the ability to write JSEAs for their tasks incorporating risk management.
  • Must be able to interpret mechanical engineering drawings and communicate to others.
  • Ability to follow Safe Working Procedures and assist in development.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Internet.
  • Superior work ethic, be able to effectively communicate with all staff and display a high degree of respect for the local people and their culture

Mechanical Trades – Boilermaker/Trainer (PRO 0122)

This position will be based at Martabe site and reports directly to Mechanical Supervisor.

Deputy Manager IT & Systems (IT 0121)

This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine, reporting directly to the IT & Systems Manager.

This position is responsible for the commercial systems and IT Infrastructure across PT Agincourt Resources, including the Martabe Gold Mine and the Jakarta Office. This scope includes;

  • Workforce Management System and ERP – including support, system administration, and user training, across each major module
  • Intranet – Document management and workflow
  • Commercial IT Infrastructure – IP Telephony, LAN, WAN, Servers and Storage
  • Service Desk – Provision of managed, metered end user desktop support within agreed SLAs
  • Asset Management – Tracking, Monitoring and Procurement to Group Standards

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Finance or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in IT or Finance, preferably in a mining environment. 5 years experience required with responsibility for IT Infrastructure and Business Systems at a managerial level.
  • Proven track record in the development of technology systems to support a growing mining operation.
  • ERP Administration, Training and Deployment Experience (PRONTO preferred)
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Have the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong ability to work independently while being an integral team member
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Microsoft Server and Cisco Network Certifications would be highly regarded
