Cardno Emerging Markets is the Managing Contractor for the AusAID-funded Australia’s Education Partnership (EI with Indonesia – School Systems and Quality (SSG) project. Based in Jakarta, SSQ will provide technical assistance to the Government of Indonesia (Gull to support school-based management of Australian-fu need schools and to enhance national and sub-national government management of school funded by both Australia and Indonesia The Junior Secondary School Construction Component (Component 1) of the SSO project works closely with the Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC) Directorate Junior Secondary Education, and has a focus on the monitoring of the community-based school construction The project is seeking qualified personnel to fill the following vacant positions
1. Monitoring Coordinator (MC) – based in Jakarta with extensive travel within Indonesia. The MC is responsible for coordinating and supervising Senior Field Monitors (SFM) and Field Monitors (FM) in performing their school construction monitoring tasks The position under the direction of the Senior Infrastructure Advisor, will liaise closely with the MoEC Project Management Unit (PMU), The candidates must have
- S1 qualification in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Construction Management with minimum of 7 years experience
- Previous experience with community based construction with a minimum of 3 years experience
- Demonstrated experience in identifying Infrastructure planning and constructor Management Issues and the provision of solutions
- Excellent people management skills with an ability to build effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders
2. Senior Field Monitor (SFM) — based outside Jakarta at the district level spread throughout Indonesia with frequent travel to surrounding districts The SFMs will be responsible for monitoring the school construction implemented under the EP between the Government of Australia and the Gol The position will liaise closely, with the School Construction Committee (SCC) and Construction Management Consultant (CMC) and provide support to the District Education Office (DEO), The candidates must have.
- S1 qualification in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Construction Management with minimum of 6 years experience
- Previous experience with community-based construction, with e minimum of 3 years experience
3. Database Specialist (DBS) based in Jakarta, the DBS will be responsible for the establishment and running of a database management system for school construction program activities implemented by the Government of Indonesia (GOI) Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC). The position will manage and maintain the database to ensure that all data contained is verified, is secured and protected from unauthorized use and is appropriately backed up. The database will include site selection data (proposals from districts including all the requirements, site assessment/verification) and school construction and monitoring information. The position will work closely in partnership with MoEC and as such may involve capacity building for MoEC, the candidates must have:
- Minimum S1 degree in computer science, engineering, or other relevant disciplines:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in database management, preferably related to infrastructure
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel. Outlook (ability to use MS Access database, produce graphs, operate Google earth and other similar programs would be considered an advantage)
4. Database Support Officer (DSO) – based in Jakarta the DSO will assist with the operations of the database management system of the EP which Site selection data proposals from the districts including all the requirements site assessment/verification) and school construction and monitoring information.
The candidate must have
- at least 2 years of professional experience In database management, preferably related to infrastructure,
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word. Excel, Outlook (ability to use MS Access database. produce graphs operate Google earth and other S’ Lar programs, would be considered an advantage)
