Yayasan Inovasi Pemerintahan Daerah (YIPD) is a Jakarta-based, non-governmental Foundation that collaborates with Indonesian local governments (kabupaten/kota) through technical assistance, policy studies and operation of an innovation/best practices clearinghouse YIPD’s mission is to strengthen local governments’ capacity in their provision of public services thereby fostering good local governance (see website: http://www.yipd.or.id)
YIPD is inviting applications for an Executive Director.
Description of Responsibilities:
- Lead national and international fundraising efforts;
- Manage relationships with local & central governments / parliaments and the associations of local government / parliaments as well as international and national donor agencies
- Balance relationships between the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Audit Board. Board of Directors and the Implementation Unit;
- Take lead on program cycle (formulation, implementation and evaluation) including production of strategic plan and quarterly reports
- Provide guidance for the technical specialists (clearinghouse finance management, monitoring & evaluation, policy. and training) and ensure availability of necessary support;
- Champion office administration financial planning, control and reporting, compliance towards and updating standard operating manuals.
Selection Criteria:
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience related to development issues, policy formulation, project and organizational management, implementation and coordination.
- Familiarity with bi-lateral and multi-lateral donor institutions and corporate sponsorships and ability to network with these and other similar institutions.
- An advance university degree (M S /Ph.D) in either public administration, business administration, management, law, economics, political science urban and regional planning or a related field.
- A solid record of professional service demonstrating strong managerial skills and integrity;
- Strong conceptual, analytical, negotiation. interpersonal and communication skills, and
- Verbal and written proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
