Our client is a leading provider of digital mapping data and solutions for customers around the world. Their products and solutions are cutting edge technologies used in key navigation systems internationally.

They are now seeking a GIS Team Lead for their office in Indonesia to lead and oversee the day-to-day activities of assigned members of the team to ensure that the tasks and processes necessary to complete their projects are being performed within the prescribed timeframe.

GIS Team Lead

Responsibilities:

• Implement work plan and assign tasks to project staff.
• Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties and responsibilities.
• Manages and track activities of project personnel to ensure project deliverable are progressing on schedule.
• Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems as needed.
• Approve weekly time reports for staff.
• Make recommendations to DMO Manager regarding work flow processes and improvements.
• Prepares and conducts project staff performance appraisals with input from DMO Manager.

Key Skills:

• Bachelor’s (University) degree in geography, business administration, cartography or urban planning preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of ArcGIS software is a plus.
• One to two years of project management experience typically required for this level of responsibility.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia required.
• Knowledge of data collection and the database required.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently with proficient organization and planning skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel and Word.
• Ability to travel within and outside project coverage area.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record required.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety), Geographical Science, Geology/Geophysics, Urban Studies/Town Planning or equivalent.
• Required skills: GIS, geo spatial, mapping.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Geology/Geophysics or equivalent.
