Lubricant Supply Chain Operation Manager
Purpose:
Lead integration, optimization and management of all Shell Lubricants Supply Chain (LSC) activities and business processes of the country organization. Lead all Supply Chain activities in the country taking full accountability for the performance of LSC in all aspects of performance (covering plant operations, logistics, planning, Health, Safety, Security, the Environment (HSSE) and Social Performance (SP), end-to-end Quality and SAP IT business processes). Maximize enterprise value by effective business partnerships with Sales & Marketing across the country. Also responsible for cost effective achievement of customer needs and high standards of performance in each area of the country’s supply chain activities through implementation of regional strategies.
Accountabilities:
- Leads and has direct line responsibility for country LSC activities in meeting objectives for HSSE and SP responsibility, customer focus, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Works with regional Planning organization to operationalize agreed supply plans that meet customer demand at lowest possible cost.
- Works with regional teams and Cluster Operations Manager to develop & implement medium and short term strategic plans with respect to the supply chain management process, size and configuration of supply chain facilities, asset base, sourcing strategy, organization structure, and staffing. This includes plans to meet material handling and technology applications, production, end-to-end quality, inbound & outbound logistics process improvement targets and end-to-end operational excellence.
- Manages LSC relationship with external bodies such as government and local authorities as necessary.
- Challenges current business practices, methodology and procedures through the application of Continuous Improvement and best practice techniques and knowledge.
- Develops, manages and motivates staff to ensure that the required competencies are in place to meet current and future business needs, championing a learning culture in the region. Ensure all managers have required technical excellence to carry out their role, and ensure suitable succession plans are in place.
- The incumbent will be joining the Global Commercial Lubricants organization at a critical time for the business – implementing new LSC processes and managing significant change in Lubricants Supply Chain in its journey to world-class operations.
- Deliver incisive and motivating leadership to the lubricants team within the region and ensure effective lubricants supply chain networking in the community.
- A key challenge of the role will be to ensure, sustain and further develop alignment of the local operations with global initiatives and to secure high standard of performances, best practice sharing and joint initiatives across country and regional operations boundaries
Experience and Qualifications required:
- At least 10-15 years Supply Chain operations experience leading large teams
- Strong track record in delivering change in large/complex organization
- Lubricants Business experience, preferably in Supply Chain
- Supply, Logistics, Manufacturing and Commercial experience useful.
- Successful experience in leading diverse and cross-functional teams, in virtual environment
- Minimum university degree, preferably in a technical discipline.
- Fluent in English, Written and Speaking
