1. Mooring Tower Lead
Job Function:
The Turret/Mooring Engineer is responsible for technical oversight of all tower and mooring engineering aspects during design, fabrication, and installation on the Project. Ensures that the EPC contractor produces a cost effective turret/mooring system that is designed to meet the Project’s safety, performance, and durability requirements within the project budget and schedule. Ensures that the Project’s requirements, as detailed in the Technical Specifications, for all the tower/mooring system is met. Assists with all aspects of turret/mooring engineering for the Project, whenever called upon by the Lead Engineer. Facilitates interfaces among the Lead Engineer, EMDC Functions, and the EPC contractor’s organization with respect to tower/mooring design issues.
Responsibility And Duties:
- Provide on-site piping and mechanical system engineering oversight of soft yoke mooring tower system during basic and detailed engineering phases
- Coordinate EMDC Engineering Function’s Support team member involvement in the tower and mooring system activities, including interaction with EPC contractor’s turret/mooring personnel
- Prepare and submit tower/mooring engineering progress data, including narratives, charts, graphs, etc., to the Lead Engineer

2. Structural Engineer
Job function:
The Structural Engineer is responsible for:
- Facilitating communication of various project execution issues within the PT engineering team that affect the structural engineering design.
- Gaining alignment with the PT on structural engineering needs, objectives, and requirements.
- Evaluates / comments on structural work performed by the Contractor and sub-contractors to insure that the work is being executed in accordance with project specifications, ExxonMobil standards, and regulatory requirements. Facilitates effective execution of structural engineering and design routines that align with the project’s, goals, objectives, and procedures. Assures accurate and timely communication among the PT and EMDC Functions on structural engineering activities, progress, and issues. Provides technical support and mentoring to the national structural engineer.
Responsibility and duties:
- Support the Mooring Tower Lead by coordinating/communicating various issues among the Owner’s engineering team that affect the structural engineering design, safety, and regulatory compliance of the work
- Facilitate and coordinate structural engineering technical work products
- Evaluate / comment work performed by the Contractor and sub-contractors to insure that the work is being executed in accordance with project specifications, ExxonMobil standards, and regulatory requirements. Includes review of structural design drawings and documents
- Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; Ensure that such deviations will be processed according to project procedures; maintains Deviation Control Log.
- Steward structural engineering queries from the Contractor and sub-contractors as well as technical information requests
- Keep Lead Engineer informed of structural engineering progress, deviations, and execution concerns
- Participate in engineering reviews at Contractor’s and subcontractor’s locations.
- In collaboration with the Lead Engineer, gain alignment with the PT on project engineering needs, objectives, and requirements
- Participate in kick-off meetings with the EPC contractor and PT to ensure common understanding of engineering requirements, including deliverables
- Conduct project team member briefing sessions with respect to structural engineering requirements and processes
- Coordinate owner and PT civil/structural engineering portions of design reviews to minimize disruption of the contractor’s work

Region Technical Authorities are expert in Mechanical engineering. The Mechanical Engineering TA is a primary source of technical advice in mechanical areas to the EA (Engineering Authority) within the Region.

Role synopsis
- The individual will be accountable for the engineering, of the Onshore Receiving facilities (ORF) and infrastructure for the Tangguh Expansion Project. This is an engineering management role within the Tangguh Expansion Project team and carries significant responsibility. The role reports directly to the Engineering Manager.
- The ORF and Infrastructure ETL will lead and direct a multinational team of discipline engineers, to ensure the safe design and quality build of the new facilities. The role will involve close coordination with other engineering teams for offshore facilities and process trains an ensure integrated design for the Tangguh Expansion Project.

Description
A pipeline engineer specialist should possess the capability to fulfill a project assignment role for technical oversight of all onshore pipeline and wellpad engineering, design, fabrication, installation and construction activities.
