OFFSHORE MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT

JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Offshore Installation Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for:

  • Maintenance planning and implementation for all Offshore Company s facilities to maximize uptime and to deliver highest value to stakeholders without compromise to Safe Operating Principals
  • Managing respective people and organization
  • Managing EHS function in the respective department
  • Managing relevant administration and reporting

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

Maintenance planning and implementation for all Offshore Company’s facilities to maximize uptime and to deliver highest value to stakeholders without compromising to Safe Operating Principals

  • Identify safety hazards, risk assess and plan all maintenance tasks, prioritizing work orders and optimising the planned maintenance routines to minimize breakdown and corrective maintenance and equipment unavailability.
  • Ensure that material and equipment spare parts are optimized and available to minimize equipment downtime and unavailability.
  • Management and quality control of the CMMS technical data and Planned Maintenance Routines held within the CMMS planned maintenance and material inventory control modules.
  • Ensure flawless execution of all tasks associated with Offshore Company’s maintenance activities
  • Ensure that all maintenance tasks are carried out according to Company s established policies, procedures and professional standards
  • Ensure appropriate risk assessments are carried out for all maintenance activities, with particular attention to recognizing the impact of change.
  • Progress all MOC (Management of Change) s including gaining technical and budgetary approval and interfacing with facility and Project Engineering ensuring that all changes to equipment design, type or functions are controlled by application of applicable Company Management of Change procedure.
  • Ensure that all planned and corrective maintenance tasks associated with equipment and facilities structure are considered and that all opportunities to minimise downtime of equipment are investigated to deliver maximum value.
  • Ensure department individual and equipment performance is aligned with stated business Key Performance Indicators.
  • Routine communications as required to subordinates and supervisor
  • Identify and procure insurance and operating spares and develop the planned maintenance routines for all Offshore Facilities during Pre-Operations phase of Company’s Offshore facilities development.
  • Integral member of the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up teams for the Offshore facilities.
  • Managing respective people and organization
  • Ensure that Offshore Company’s staff follow Company Operating Policies and Procedures without compromise
  • Member of the Offshore Leadership Team
  • Developing direct-report personnel by conducting formal 6 monthly and annual documented performance reviews which identifies performance, succession plans and development needs where appropriate.
  • Ensure roles and responsibilities of all subordinate maintenance group personnel are clearly defined and understood and that all new employees receive a comprehensive induction before commencing their duties.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to a small maintenance team and coach as required.
  • Stand-in coverage for Offshore Installation Manager if delegated.

2. Managing EHS function in the respective department

  • Demonstrate appropriate safety behaviors and commitment to environmental policies
  • Emergency response duties as required
  • Facilitate and ensure that appropriate Incident and Accident Investigations are carried out.
  • Compliance with Company and AMDAL environmental regulations and targets.
  • Ensure that all maintainable equipment is subject to a Criticality Assessment with regard to Safety, Production and Environmental impact following Company Criticality Assessment Procedure.

3. Managing relevant administration and report

  • Develop annual maintenance and spares budgets
  • Monitor and control the maintenance budget
  • Ensure all Maintenance work orders are completed in timely manner with quality data input.
  • Ensure all department Incident and Accident reports are completed with quality and entered in Company database and that all assigned actions are completed within target.
  • Managing relevant reporting and administration work based on the needs of the respective organization (including data recording, correspondence, reporting. – based on the function of this position).
  • Ensuring the confidentiality of the company’s documentation.
  • Technical:
  • Gas Turbines and Diesel driven power generators, and rotating equipment, DCS systems and process controls, Developing and managing a maintenance strategy and planning to anticipate any problems.
  • Process Vessels, tanks, boilers, safety valves and piping certification and inspections and forward planning for inspection and recertification.
  • Pre-commissioning, commissioning and Start-up of offshore or onshore Oil & Gas processing plants.
  • Experienced in the maintenance of offshore Oil & Gas production and processing plants and equipment essential
  • Experienced in managing a Computerized Maintenance Management System, – SAP PM module desirable.
  • Development and managing of support services contracts for provision of spare parts and/or specialized vendor maintenance support.
  • Familiar with Hazardous Areas Classifications, and the Electrical equipment installation and maintenance requirements.
  • Familiar with American and European mechanical standards ANSI/API/ASME/CENELEC
  • Extensive experience with a variety of standard electrical, mechanical or control equipment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English Language are a major requirement
  • Computer Literacy : Microsoft Office applications, and SAP, (preferred but not a requirement)

– Frequent contact with Company personnel up to SEA Operations Manager level to discuss performance and provide advice.
– Frequent contact with OPF Maintenance Superintendent, Warehouse and SAP support.

JOB REQUIREMENT:
Education and Experience:

  • Engineering degree (preferred) or Technical diploma (considered) major in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical engineering.
  • +10 years experience in petroleum industry
  • Previous experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning of Oil and Gas processing plant desirable, offshore preferred.
  • Have experience in managing a multi discipline and multi-tasking maintenance workforce in the Oil and Gas processing operation.

Basic Skill:

  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Computer: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e mail and a CMMS.
  • Proud and confident in managing subordinates and leading a team to operational excellence.
