Senior Program Officer
(Infrastructure Policy and Investment)

The Indonesia Infrastructure Initiative is a technical advisory and capacity building program funded by the Australian Government. The program’s purpose is to support the Indonesian Government in overcoming barriers to the delivery of high quality and strategic infrastructure developments through working with and building the capacity of GOI agencies at both the national and sub-national levels.

Applications are being sought from appropriately qualified and experienced Indonesian nationals for an anticipated position as Senior Program Officer (Infrastructure Policy and Investment). In this role you will provide technical support for the identification, development and management of policy and investment related activities across a range of infrastructure sectors. Cross-sectional themes will include public service obligations (subsidies), private-public partnerships, procurement as well as infrastructure planning, budgeting and financing.

The successful candidate will be a mid-senior level professional with:

  • At least 5-8 years of program management and policy advisory experience;
  • Experience working with Government of Indonesia agencies, institutions and with international advisers (preferably with an infrastructure focus);
  • Experience in at leas’ one of the following areas (preferably with an infrastructure focus), finance and budgeting, investment facilitation, legal and policy analysis reform, procurement and regulatory reform;
  • Financial and economic analysis skills desirable;
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Indonesian language skills.

Candidates must submit a current CV that demonstrates their experience and qualifications for the role and which includes at least two professional referees who can be readily contacted by phone and email (Maximum 3 pages). In responding to the criteria above, candidates should describe the work they have completed to evidence experience at senior levels (maximum 3 pages). This will be a full-time Jakarta-based position.
